Wishful thinking....

I so wish I was here right now, and other times, as well....

And of course I happen to be wearing this shirt today, so that probably doesn't help too much.  :)

So if anyone is planning a trip to Bass Pro anytime soon, feel free to let me know if I can hitch a ride.  ;)  lol

Moving right along

Out with the previous busy month.....

And time to get a start on the new semi-busy (so far) month....

Sketch artist

This is another little something that is pinned to my cork board at work.  :)
It is a little sketch one of my friends doodled one day while she was visiting me at the office, and it is pinned right beside the Spongebob chocolate candy wrappers from a birthday gift she had given me.  :)

Gum anyone?

Probably the most generic bubblegum wrapper I've ever seen.

Lollipop motivation

(Click to see the photo full-size.)

This is a paraphrased quote from the Rocky Balboa movie, shared with me by a friend. While it may be a paraphrase of the movie quote, it is verbatim what my friend said -- except that I added the exclamation point at the end.  :)  The message both made me smile and made me think -- gave me even more perspective, I suppose you could say. All things considered, I really am doing alright, but I still appreciate things like this that I can keep in mind to help me through rough times.

I jotted the message down by hand and have it standing against my computer monitor at work, so it can serve as a daily reminder and motivation for me ... keep it fresh in my mind. I've taken a lot during the course of my little lifetime, as have so many others, but I'm still here and still going; "life goes on." So I know this, too, shall pass, and I'll once again keep on going, as I always have.  I'll always "still keep going."

The first sentence of the quote does always make me smile.  :)  I can imagine the oh-so-tough Rocky saying "lollipops."  Personally, I think whoever wrote the screenplay or script for the movie should have replaced "rainbows" with "lollipops."  I like this quote better than theirs.  :)

Meeting conflicts

In looking at my work calendar last week, I noticed two meetings that interfere with more joyous occasions. Why do meetings want to take place on people's birthdays?  How dare they!
